Shooting with Lynn Rose Equine Photography

Lynn Rose Equine Photography

This winter I had the pleasure of working with Lynn Rose Equine Photography on a portrait shoot for Dexter after winning a model call. From building a bond with Dexter to magically (ok it’s not magic, just pure talent) capturing his personality, the entire experience was easy, super laid back, and so much fun.

Evelyn is so interactive and made everyone feel comfortable. Initially I was worried what Dexter would look like with a full winter coat, but Evelyn assured me that I wouldn’t be disappointed and boy was she right! Evelyn knew just how to get Dexter’s attention, make him pose, and catch all of my favorite Dexter faces!

The photo session was about an hour, but Evelyn knew when Dexter needed a break from being a model. It didn’t take long for me to see that Evelyn is a true animal lover and knew exactly how to work with my bundle of stall rest energy. Dexter was a bit fresh the day of our shoot and even threw out a few bucks, but Evelyn never became frustrated or inpatient—she laughed along and just waited until Dexter made it back to where he was supposed to be.

I had such a great time! Dexter seemed to love the experience too—plenty of peppermint persuasions! He was in heaven.

The pictures are so great that they qualify as fine art and not “crazy horse person” pictures.
Not only do they make my heart smile, but they will live on throughout my house for years to come! I ended up purchasing my favorite white background shot on a 40×60 canvas which is lovingly placed above my mantel.

I will cherish these pictures forever! Evelyn is a very special person and it shows in the pictures she takes. I know for sure that I will be working with Lynn Rose Equine Photography again.
