Come fall and winter, boots are one of my must-haves. Tired of hit and miss cheap suede and pleather options, I went to Ariat in search of a short boot that could easily be dressed up for the perfect date night look (wishful thinking with horse events every other weekend) or dressed down with a flowy top and leggings for work while still boasting an equestrian flair. Also, they had to be comfortable. Like comfort insoles comfortable.
Enter the Ariat Weekender Boots.
Features
They’re simple and stylish. And that’s pretty much all there is to it. No extra stitching, no embellishments. Just a supple, full-grain leather boot with elastic sides and a pull tab at the back. The elastic twin gore panels may not be everyone’s taste, but there’s no denying their comfort. Easy on and off, just the way I like it!
The leather quality is top notch and doesn’t scuff easily, nothing short of Ariat standards. They look and feel luxurious!
Options
These boots come in maplewood and black slate. I fell in love with the lighter brown “maple” shade because it’s one of those tones that just goes with everything.

Purchased sight unseen without a vetting, I only wished I had bought a half size smaller as the fit and support in these boots is different than other Ariat styles I have worn in the past. In my opinion, a Chelsea boot should be as streamlined and snug to my foot as possible. I may try them with a pair of Dr. Scholl’s inserts to help make up the difference.
Price
Originally $199.95, I got mine on sale for $127 straight from Ariat. Of course after I purchased mine, I found a few pairs on Ebay and Amazon for less than $75, so I would search around for the best deals!
Bottom Line
For those who are already loyal to Ariat, these boots might be too expensive for their unproven track record and unpolished design details. Since I’m very much into the look of the Chelsea boot styling and enjoy trying out new products, I was excited to pick up a pair of these Ariat Weekender Boots.
